Have you ever gotten to church only to realize that you left your check book at home along with your offering? Or have you ever been in that awkward moment where God was really stirring you to help meet a financial need at the church, but you didn’t have cash or a check. Everywhere else we go in this world, it is simply very easy to give electronically or by using a debit card. But, unfortunately, our offering boxes do not have an electronic kiosk built into them. Or maybe, like me, you have returned from your vacation to see the tithe check you meant to drop off still sitting on the counter. Well we have good news. We are currently in the process of establishing some new electronic giving avenues.
They will include:
- being able to give on an offering envelop by filling in your card information
- being able to process a one-time donation or payment for a retreat at the Information Center via an electronic portal
- being able to sign up for automated giving directly from your checking account on a reoccurring basis
- being able to do all of the above very easily from our churches website
We are very excited about this and the impact it will have on the scope of ministry that FLC is able to accomplish. Would you prayerfully consider how you may utilize one of these new avenues to move to the next level in your financial stewardship. Our goal is to eventually get to the point where over 70% of our churches tithes and offerings are done through automated giving directly from accounts. This is the easiest way for us to plan out our spending throughout the month as we will be able to know exactly how much will be coming in on certain days. As always, we strive to be great stewards of every dollar that is entrusted to us by the faithful partners of the ministry here at FLC. We are excited about this new system because we believe it will help us in that goal!
